Because every bequest is invested in perpetuity for generations to come.
People decide to make a bequest as a special way of saying thank you for the valuable work we do throughout the community.
Making a bequest is simple and is not costly. There are two ways someone can make a bequest.
Please consult with a qualified legal professional to ensure your wishes can be properly incorporated in your will.
People change their wills for a variety of reasons such as the birth of children, grandchildren or the loss of a loved one. Recent Victorian legislation means that changing your will is a simple and relatively inexpensive procedure that a solicitor can easily arrange. Some people may prefer to purchase a will kit and complete the details themselves.
To include St John Victoria in your will, we suggest you use the following wording.
I bequeath to St John Ambulance Australia (Victoria) Inc. (ABN 69061844380) the sum of $......... (or ........ percentage of my estate or ...... percentage of my residue of my estate) and declare that the receipt of its treasurer or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge for my trustee.

Our Bequest Society exists to thank and acknowledge everyone who makes a bequest to St John. The Society has an annual thank you function to which every member is invited.
Also, throughout the year the Society hosts informal functions for members, their guests and prospective members.
